First Post

I realize that the first post on this blog is poetry.

It's a work of men called Haiku Birthday and that I probably should have started out with an explanation of what this little blog is about. Such is my life, a crazy quilt of silliness, nonsense, seriousness, drama and whatever randomness slips out of my mind and onto these virtual pages.

At some point I intend to write about Spot, also known as Spotted Jungle Fever, my cat, who Rob and I raised from a kitten until his untimely death at the age of 18 a few months ago.

Can't go into it now, I'm still an emotional wreck and depressed about it, having to have to make that most adult of decisions; euthanasia.

I have several  pages of writing that I'd made some time ago and transferred to disc, I'll see if I can copy it and place it here where it belongs.
This blog will become a repository for all of my foolishness, bits of writing, scraps of knowledge.
I doubt I'll ever show it to anyone, but it gives me a place to think, to write, to fell, to vent and explore my thoughts, sort of a virtual dreaming. After all, isn't that what dreaming is? Your brain takes all the input from your day to day activities and mushes them together then spits them out in new configurations.

So, there it is, I guess I could call this thing Virtual Dreams, but I won't.  Might be a good name for the next influx of poetry though, or maybe some short stories.
