201611.01
Some terrible news.
My nephew Larry jr., who had been in a tremendous car accident last year has passed away.
He was always an athletic man, played sports (football & soccer) in high school, lifted weights, studied Brazilian Jiu-jutsu, had lots of muscle, not afraid to get his hands  dirty kind of guy.
He had been suffering from a form of PTSD from the accident and was depressed that because of the severity of his injuries, he wouldn't be able to do many of the things he used to.
He decided to take some time to try and get his head together and went to visit some friends in Iowa, and was camping by a river.  Apparently he went down to the river to get some water, slipped, fell in and was drowned.  It took several days to recover his body. My  brother and sister-in-law are going there to reclaim his stuff and bring him back  for burial.
Needless to say my family and I are devastated by this loss.

We returned safely from our fishing adventure some time ago with  several pounds of cod and haddock, none of which I caught.
As usual I fished along with the other two until I couldn't take it any more and gave up.
Christ I hate being out there it's the most wretched thing I can imagine having to do and I endure it all because Rob loves it so much. I can't express my loathing for the entire filthy business, it's chilly wet, dirty, boring in the extreme, frustrating and I would rather be doing ANYTHING exc eat being out on that damned boat watching everyone else catch fish.

201609.08

Rob & I with our friend George Hanson are in Glouster Mass to go deep sea fishing.
I am not amused. I don't like the sea, I find fishing boring and I'm going to be on a filthy slimy ship out to sea without being able to get off. Christ this is going to suck.

Prostate update

After a visit to Dr. Rosenberg, it's been determined that I'm fine, the swelling has gone down and I have some calcium deposits on my prostate, nothing to really worry about, thank the Maker and his water. (It's a Dune reference, look it up!)
So, here it is May 7, 2016;
Beyond all reason, Donald Trump is the Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States.
He is running against Hillary Clinton, former First Lady of Bill Clinton.
If either one wins it'll set some interesting presidents (pun intended).
It will show that the Wife of a president can run for office if she so choses, keeping her husband in the White House past his constitutional limitations of 8 years.
If Trump wins, it shows that any jackass with enough influence and money can seat himself in the most powerful position in the world.
What has this country come to? How close to armageddon are we? This whole thing is becoming as inbred as the banjo player from Deliverance.
I hope that we've not  doomed ourselves, I've just got a bad feeling about this entire mess.

Presidential race 2016

,We're going to watch as our nation slides noisily into self destruction.
I have lost heart in the whole damned political game, the rich guys won, I see it coming like freight train right at us.
