Some terrible news.
My nephew Larry jr., who had been in a tremendous car accident last year has passed away.
He was always an athletic man, played sports (football & soccer) in high school, lifted weights, studied Brazilian Jiu-jutsu, had lots of muscle, not afraid to get his hands dirty kind of guy.
He had been suffering from a form of PTSD from the accident and was depressed that because of the severity of his injuries, he wouldn't be able to do many of the things he used to.
He decided to take some time to try and get his head together and went to visit some friends in Iowa, and was camping by a river. Apparently he went down to the river to get some water, slipped, fell in and was drowned. It took several days to recover his body. My brother and sister-in-law are going there to reclaim his stuff and bring him back for burial.
Needless to say my family and I are devastated by this loss.

We returned safely from our fishing adventure some time ago with several pounds of cod and haddock, none of which I caught.
As usual I fished along with the other two until I couldn't take it any more and gave up.
Christ I hate being out there it's the most wretched thing I can imagine having to do and I endure it all because Rob loves it so much. I can't express my loathing for the entire filthy business, it's chilly wet, dirty, boring in the extreme, frustrating and I would rather be doing ANYTHING exc eat being out on that damned boat watching everyone else catch fish.
